Well, unfortunately at this point in my life I would not rate any of my well-beings very high. I'm going through a very seemly large shift in my life (hence the name of my blog). I am working two part-time jobs, plus going to school and plenty of family distractions. So I know I don't eat right and I need to exercise more. I have not found a belief system that I feel connected to recently, and all of this has led me to frequently feel depressed and overwhelmed.
Physically, I absolutely know I feel emotionally better when I can get out and go for a walk or bike ride, it just doesn't seem to happen often enough. I logically know its all a matter of priorities. So these are the goals I would like to set for myself: 1. At minimum take a walk every day. 2. At minimum meditate before I go to bed. 3. Make a conscious decision to start my day off happy! These days I frequently find myself waking up angry, and I know that is no way to start a day.
I really enjoyed this relaxation soundtrack. I am very intriqued with chakras, so this was engaging to me from the get-go. The affirmations after each visualization was very nice. And I like how at the end he pulled it all together with an all emcompassing white light. I will be doing this one again!
Have a great week everyone!

Unit 2 - Journey On Relaxation
Oh boy, do I have a difficult time quieting my mind.
I usually have about three different things I'm thinking about all the time. Even tho I was tired and really ready to go to sleep, I hard a hard time not thinking about my other class, my emails, work tomorrow, events at work today, etc.
I completely understand how important it is to be able to turn all that stuff off. I just haven't figured out how to do it yet :-( I feel like I get bored just sitting and listening to a monotone voice for that length of time.
About the only time I have ever found that beneficial is... for a time I tried listening to select hypnosis tapes as I was falling asleep. I had them set to loop continually, and some point in the middle of the night I would wake up and turn them off.
I'm going to keep working on this.....

Why Dandelions?
I have recently been studying an herbal course and have been learning so much about dandelions. Apparently, they have properties that can be very beneficial to health. You can make dandelion tea, fritters, jelly, soda, salad greens, all kinds of stuff. I find it amazing that our society regards this small, yellow flower as a weed to banish from the yard, when it could be harvested and put to a good use. The author of the course is on a mission to teach people how many common things around us can be beneficial to our wellbeing - even the dandelion.
Just as the dandelion transforms physically and in our own perception - so do I constantly evolve and grow.
This is why I choose this blog theme. I hope you enjoy your time with my ever-fluid thought processes. Welcome.....
